BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Coco works with children and adolescents in the Child Anxiety Center.

Dr. Coco completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders in children and adolescents at EBTCS and has considerable training in the treatment of youth and families.

Dr. Coco has broad experience helping children, adolescents, and families build on their strengths to overcome challenges. She has provided therapeutic support to children and families in a range of settings including public and private schools, clinical settings, and family homes. Dr. Coco particularly loves helping children, adolescents, and parents understand and triumph over anxiety and related disorders.

Dr. Coco completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and her doctoral degree in school psychology at the University of Washington. Her doctoral research explored contributors to self-regulation and social skills and outcomes associated with improvement of these skills in children. Dr. Coco completed her pre-doctoral internship at EBTCS and the Brooks Powers Group in Seattle.

Dr. Coco is trained in evidence-based interventions for anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and oppositional behavior. She has worked extensively as a school psychologist in Seattle- and Boston-area schools where she provided individual and group therapy to children and adolescents and coordinated support plans to increase school success for students. Dr. Coco has also worked with children and families in a variety of clinical and research settings including Seattle Children’s Hospital, the University of Washington Autism Center, the University of Washington School Psychology Clinical Training Laboratory, and Familywise Northwest.

Dr. Coco is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), and the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
