Why the Eating Disorders Center at EBTCS?
All of our providers are doctoral-level psychologists with extensive specialized training in the treatment of eating disorders and many have additional board certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and/or Family Based Treatment (FBT).
We are experts in treating co-occurring problems
Our providers are also trained in the treatment of commonly co-occurring disorders and problems, such as anxiety (including obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder/trauma and specific phobias), depression, difficulties with emotion regulation, and perfectionism.
We collaborate on a weekly basis as a team to ensure we are delivering state-of-the-art treatment.
Our treatment works
Treatment at the Eating Disorders Center at EBTCS is very individualized and based on an initial assessment with one of our clinical psychologists. We collaborate with you to develop the most effective plan for treatment.
Evidence-based practice guides our treatment, which means we consider what treatments have been shown by research to be effective for treating the problems you are experiencing. This includes using data collected in therapy to guide treatment and make sure you are getting the best care possible. We also consider, in collaboration with you, treatment preferences and your experience with therapy in the past.
We also work closely with other providers, including medical professionals, psychiatrists, and dietitians, to ensure that your treatment is coordinated.
