BIOGRAPHY
Madison Colley, Ph.D. (she/her/hers) is a postdoctoral fellow in the Anxiety Center at EBTCS.
Madison has specialized training in the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other co-occurring conditions related to traumatic stress. She also has experience working with a range of psychological concerns, including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, specific phobias, major depressive disorder, insomnia, and substance use concerns.
Madison is passionate about providing client-centered, anti-oppressive psychotherapy grounded in evidence-based practices. She is committed to viewing each client as a whole person by honoring the complex social, cultural, and systemic factors that shape their lived experience. As a clinician, she strives to create a warm, authentic, and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change aligned with their unique values.
Madison earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University, where she received focused training in the treatment of traumatic stress and social justice-informed mental healthcare. She completed her predoctoral clinical internship at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, where she specialized in short-term, evidence-based psychotherapies for PTSD, substance use disorders, and other co-occurring conditions related to traumatic stress.
Madison has in-depth training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) for PTSD, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety, mood, and substance use concerns. She also has experience implementing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) principles, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Written Exposure Therapy (WET) for PTSD, and Present-Centered Therapy (PCT) for PTSD.
