About Our Eating Disorders Intensive Program

At EBTCS, our Eating Disorders Intensive Program provides intensive, individualized treatment for adults (18+) navigating eating disorders — and the complex co-occurring concerns that often come with them.

Grounded in (not just inspired by!) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), our program is designed specifically for individuals who may not qualify for other programs due to self-harm, suicidality, trauma, or emotion dysregulation. We don’t exclude complex cases — we build for them.

Our program bridges the gap between standard outpatient therapy and higher levels of care, such as residential or inpatient treatment. Offered five days a week for four hours each day, the intensive structure supports clients in making meaningful progress while maintaining connection to daily life.

Who This Program Is For We specialize in treating individuals with:

  • Anorexia Nervosa (AN)
  • Bulimia Nervosa (BN)
  • Binge Eating Disorder (BED)
  • Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
  • Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED)

This program is for adults (ages 18+) whose eating disorder symptoms — often alongside other mental health conditions — require more intensive support than once- or twice-weekly outpatient sessions can provide.

What Makes Our Program Different

  • DBT-Adherent Approach Our program follows a full DBT model, including three weekly skills groups and two individual DBT sessions per week.
  • Built for Complexity We treat the full picture: co-occurring trauma, emotion dysregulation, suicidality, substance use, and self-harm.
  • Collaborative, Compassionate Care Our multidisciplinary team includes DBT therapists, registered dietitians, and (when appropriate) psychiatry and family support.
  • Daily Meal Support Clients receive daily supported lunch, along with weekly nutrition groups and individual dietitian sessions.

Program Structure Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–2:00pm (Individual therapy sessions occur on Mondays and Thursdays and may take place outside these hours depending on therapist availability.)

Program Length: Group content is delivered in 8-week rotations. Program duration is determined collaboratively with clients and may vary based on clinical need and insurance guidelines.
