BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Ghina Haidar is a postdoctoral fellow in the Child Anxiety Center at EBTCS.

Dr. Haidar has advanced training in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, and mood disorders, disruptive behavior problems, learning challenges, and parenting challenges. She has expertise in the assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Her therapeutic approach is tailored to each client and their family, working collaboratively with each client within the framework of evidence-based therapies- such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She has extensive experience working directly with caregivers through parent mediated interventions to support their child with anxiety, OCD, disruptive behaviors, and executive functioning challenges.

Dr. Haidar received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Washington after completing her predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at the University of Michigan’s Mary Rackham Institute. Dr. Haidar has worked with a wide age range of clients, from young children to young adults. She has also worked in a variety of clinical and research settings throughout her training, including Seattle Children’s Hospital outpatient clinics, the University of Washington Institute on Human Development and Disability, the University of Washington School Psychology Clinical Training Laboratory, K-12 schools, and in the community.

Dr. Haidar has deep appreciation for applied clinical research. Her doctoral research focused on applying an evidence-based parenting intervention to a wider population in a hospital outpatient clinic setting.

Dr. Haidar is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Washington State Psychological Association (WSPA). She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in the state of Washington.
