Dr. du Pont works with adults in the Anxiety Center.
Dr. du Pont is a staff psychologist in the Anxiety Center at EBTCS. She has significant experience providing evidence-based individual, couple, family, and group interventions for adults with mood and anxiety disorders. She has experience working with adults struggling with a range of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, trauma-related disorders, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, specific phobias, and body-focused repetitive behaviors.
Dr. du Pont approaches therapy from a collaborative, relational, systems-focused perspective. She recognizes that each person’s identities, environment, and history shapes their specific treatment needs and works with clients to create a treatment experience that will translate out of the office and into their lives based on their goals and current scientific research. She often encourages some level of therapeutic involvement from loved ones when possible.
Dr. du Pont completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Princeton University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder in Clinical Psychology. During graduate school, she received advanced training in interventions for couple distress and bipolar and related disorders. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and a Mood and Anxiety Disorder postdoctoral fellowship at VA Puget Sound, Seattle, where she further specialized in individual and group interventions for anxiety disorders as well as couple therapy.
Dr. du Pont has received extensive training in cognitive and behavioral therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), exposure therapies for anxiety disorders and trauma-related disorders, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), and Family-Focused Therapy for Bipolar Disorder (FFT).
