BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Berlin works with adults in the Anxiety Center, DBT Center, and Eating Disorder Center. She is also the Co-Medical Director of EBTCS.

Dr. Berlin loves being a psychiatrist. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Duke University, she attended Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. It was during her clinical rotations in medical school, where she was captivated and touched by people’s stories, that she realized psychiatry was a great fit for her.  She went on to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia to complete both her medical internship and specialty training in psychiatry. In addition to receiving excellent training in psychiatric diagnosis and medication management, she learned about cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) from leaders in the field and witnessed its profound impact.

Since moving to Seattle in 2010, Dr. Berlin has worked in several treatment settings, including Overlake Medical Center, Group Health (now Kaiser Permanente), and private practice. She is excited to now be part of several treatment teams at EBTCS (Anxiety Center, DBT Center), where she provides psychiatric care to adults who are engaged in therapy in the clinic. She primarily works with individuals to manage anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, mood disorders, and ADHD. Partnering with clients in shared decision making, she strives to use medications wisely in an evidenced-based, practical, holistic, and compassionate approach. She enjoys incorporating her interests in positive psychiatry, mindfulness, and exercise into treatment when indicated.

Dr. Berlin is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Washington State Psychiatric Association.
