When telehealth is a strong option
- Patients and families living outside major metropolitan areas
- Patients whose symptoms make traveling difficult
- Patients balancing work, school, and family demands
- Patients who engage more comfortably from their home environment
Research shows that telehealth-delivered CBT and family-based treatments are as effective as in-person care for eating disorders when delivered by trained specialists — making telehealth a powerful and flexible option for many patients.
Thoughtful recommendations, not one-size-fits-all
While telehealth works well for many patients, it is not always the right fit for every situation. Eating disorder care often requires ongoing medical monitoring, and telehealth is most appropriate for patients who are medically stable. As part of our intake process, we help patients and families determine whether telehealth, in-person care, or a combination of both is most appropriate based on clinical needs, medical status, and treatment goals.
Our priority is not convenience alone — it’s effectiveness.
