BIOGRAPHY
Tracy Esperanzate is the Client Services Coordinator for the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Center at EBTCS.
Tracy was born and raised in the South End of Seattle. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Washington.
Tracy takes pride in her cultural identity, informed and inspired by the diversity of lived experiences within the communities that make up the beautiful city of Seattle. She has a background in social service provisions, including an internship with API Chaya, an organization of advocates for survivors of sex- and gender-based violence. She supported educational trainings on human trafficking and the facilitation of their established Natural Helpers training, allowing students on campus and in greater Seattle communities space to learn through a culturally relevant lens.
After graduating, she took on the role of a resource coordinator under the Pike Place Market Foundation. At The Market Commons, the low-barrier resource and community center, she supported downtown community members in navigating food access, housing, and other neighborhood resources and programs to increase access and nurture a thriving market community.
Tracy is determined to become a mental health clinician serving marginalized communities, grounded in the values of equity and justice. She recognizes the intersections of culture, community, environment, and systems, following the biopsychosocial model of mental healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting, reading, tennis, supporting Seattle sports, and visiting new restaurants.
