BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Strickland treats adults in the Anxiety Center.

Dr. Strickland is a staff psychologist in the Anxiety Center at EBTCS. He has significant experience delivering evidence-based treatments and working with clients struggling with a range of anxiety and related disorders including, OCD, panic disorder, GAD, social anxiety disorder, specific phobias, PTSD, and body-focused repetitive behaviors.

Dr. Strickland completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of California Santa Cruz. He went on to pursue his doctoral training in clinical psychology at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA and completed his pre-doctoral internship at the University of Washington Counseling Center, where he received specialized training in men’s issues and couples therapy. Dr. Strickland’s doctoral research focused on the delivery of technology-assisted psychotherapy and digitally tracking homework compliance throughout treatment.

During his graduate education, Dr. Strickland received advanced training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). His training also included clinical work at two separate CBT treatment centers, where he facilitated home visits, out of office exposure sessions, and intensive outpatient psychotherapy (IOP) for clients with a range of anxiety disorders.

Dr. Strickland is a licensed psychologist in the state of Washington.
