BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Ivey works with adolescents and adults in the DBT Center.
Dr. Ivey is a clinical psycholgist in the DBT Center at EBTCS. She has significant prior training and experience working with individuals who are suffering from emotion dysregulation, suicidality, mood and substance use disorders.
Dr. Ivey completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology and English at Northeastern University and her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the University of Hartford. Her doctoral research examined factors that are linked to recidivism and symptoms of depression in forensically involved individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Dr. Ivey completed her predoctoral clinical internship at Yale University in the Forensic Drug Diversion (ForDD) Clinic. She has previously worked on DBT teams at Yale-New Haven Hospital’s Adult DBT Intensive Outpatient Program and at McLean Hospital’s adolescent dialectical behavior therapy programs. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in DBT at EBTCS.
Dr. Ivey is trained in evidence-based interventions for emotion dysregulation, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. Her clinical passions include working collaboratively with individuals who struggle with emotion dysregulation, substance use disorders, and trauma related symptoms.
Dr. Ivey is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) and the American Psychology-Law Society (AP-LS) and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Washington.
