Washington is moving forward with re-opening and in-person events are around the corner. If you have a teen who has had a tough time with making and keeping friends, the PEERS social skills intervention group can help to take the mystery out of approaching social situations!
Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle (EBTCS) is excited to present the PEERS social skills for adolescents group via telehealth. Individuals will learn foundational conversational skills, such as trading information and finding common interests with others, to joining group conversations and organizing hang outs. The group will be on Tuesdays from 5-6:30pm and starts this Spring. The financial investment for the 16-week intervention is $2880.
Those interested in joining the group must have a parent/caregiver that could also attend the weekly sessions and serve as a social coach outside of the PEERS group. Due to the telehealth delivery model, families must have two electronic devices (e.g., ipad, computer, smart phone) that they can use to connect via Zoom for separate teen and social coach sessions.
