About Grace Gu
Grace Gu is a postdoctoral fellow in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Center at EBTCS. She has significant prior training and experience working with individuals who are suffering from emotion dysregulation, suicidality, self-harm, mood and anxiety disorders
Grace completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology and drama at the University of California, Irvine and her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Suffolk University. Her doctoral research examined learning gains and factors that relate to learning at a continuing education training for licensed therapists on Acceptance Based Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based treatment for generalized anxiety disorder.
Grace completed her predoctoral clinical internship at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, where she worked in a DBT intensive outpatient program. She has also previously worked at Massachusetts Mental Health Center’s outpatient DBT program.
Grace is trained in evidence-based interventions for emotion dysregulation, anxiety, insomnia, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Her clinical passions include working collaboratively with individuals to cultivate more acceptance, self-compassion, and skills use.
Grace is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
