If you are living with BFRBs, you probably have experienced the feeling that it’s next to impossible to stop picking or pulling. While that urge can be strong, there are things you can put in place to make it more difficult to pick or pull. See the lists below for possible “speed bumps” to slow you down, ideas for organizing your environment, ways to increase sensation, or ways to decrease stimulation. Remember to keep an open mind and try new approaches, even if it doesn’t seem likely that it will help. While everything on the list may not work for you, something might!
