The Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle (EBTCS) has two postdoctoral clinical fellowship positions, one in the DBT Center of Seattle and one in the Anxiety and Stress Reduction Center of Seattle. These are two-year positions. Fellows may request to receive training in both programs. Fellows receive feedback on a regular basis, and formal evaluations are conducted every six months. EBTCS typically conducts interviews in February and March for positions beginning in August or September each year.

DBT CENTER OF SEATTLE FELLOWSHIP

Typical activities include:

  • Providing individual DBT to adults
  • Providing DBT to adolescents and their families
  • Conducting DBT skills training classes for adults and adolescents and their families
  • Opportunities to provide supervision to first year fellows in the second year of the Fellowship
  • Participation in outcome research and quality assurance projects
  • Learning about clinic administration
  • Teaching DBT in formal and informal settings
  • Providing consultation in DBT to other professionals

Training provided:

  • Two hours of individual supervision per week
  • Optional one hour of individual supervision per week with senior postdoctoral fellow for a portion of the first year of fellowship
  • Intensive, interactive DBT training
  • Weekly DBT consultation team meetings
  • The opportunity to view and discuss videos of DBT individual and group treatment.
  • One hour per week of continuing education related to DBT, anxiety disorders, other evidence based treatments, ethics, and other related topics
